Ian ‘Tay’ Landry, MA MSW RSW
Clinical Manager & Clinical Social Worker
Mr. Landry is a Registered Social Worker with private practice designation with the Nova Scotia College of Social Workers and a Sociologist. Mr. Landry holds a Master of Social Work, a Master of Arts in Sociology, a Bachelor of Social Work, a Bachelor of Arts Honors in Sociology, a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Sociology and a Community Development Certificate. Mr. Landry also holds certification in Applied Suicide Intervention Skills, Non-violent Crisis Intervention, FASD, Mandt, Critical Incident Stress Management, Conflict Resolution and diversity training.
He is a skilled counsellor, case manager, researcher, educator, facilitator, activist and community developer / organizer. His experience has involved working in the areas of social service delivery, health and mental health services, employee assistance plans, addictions, teaching, correctional services, family support, First Nations, seniors, and community development.
His focus is on resolving individual, family, group or community problems utilizing a trauma informed, anti-oppressive, strength-based, solution-focused framework of practice. Mr. Landry works to assist individuals, groups, families and communities maximize empowerment, resilience and environmental mastery in order to make positive changes in their lives
Mr. Landry is also an experienced educator having developed courses for, and taught at, private career college, community college and university levels, as well as having developed and facilitated numerous continuing education and professional development workshops.
Kimberley E. MacLean, BA MSW RSW
Clinical Social Worker
Ms. MacLean is a Registered Social Worker with private practice designation with the Nova Scotia College of Social Workers. She holds a Bachelor of Arts (Advanced Double Major in Psychology and Sociology) degree, a Bachelor of Social Work Degree and a Master of Social Work Degree. Ms. MacLean also holds certification in non-violent crisis intervention, suicide intervention, FASD and diversity training.
Ms. MacLean is a feminist, counsellor, social activist, researcher, and advocate and has been involved in community development for over 20 years. Her efforts have focused primarily on services for issues as they pertain to recovery from trauma, intimate partner violence, mental illness or addictions. She works from a trauma informed, feminist, structural, anti-oppressive framework in order to help the people she works with become empowered to make positive changes in their lives
Several independent Clinicians utilize counselling space at the Sweetgrass & Sage Counselling and Assessment Services office on a hourly rental basis.
